Investing in your relationship takes effort and creativity, especially when you don’t have a babysitter, but it is a MUST. Here’s one of our favorite survival techniques for a quick date night fix.
“Hey kids, we’re gonna play a game where you are at a restaurant by yourself! Remember, don’t talk to strangers…like your dad and I.” 
They think its fun and feel so independent, and we love to talk freely to each other once in awhile. A win-win situation. I don’t recommend it with babies. That would be weird. And, I’m certainly not saying to sit across the room or at the strip mall restaurant next door. One seat away works just fine. Bonus points if you go on a Kids Eat Free Night.
